In March 1999, the 75th Anniversary Series was introduced. Limited to 2,000 examples, 500 of which were reserved for the British market, it celebrated the brand's 75th anniversary. Equipment and presentation were particularly meticulous, and the cars were numbered. Our example is number 1393. Launched on January 10, 2000, it was the car of the Brive-la-Gaillarde dealer's wife, who kept it for just under two years and 6,000 km. Our current owner bought it from the dealership with his wife, and registered it on December 27, 2001. Manic and attentive, she takes great care of it. We appreciate its elegant metallic grey paintwork with the rare contrasting black hard-top. This rare hard-top transforms the MG F into a coupé during the winter months. The 16-inch alloy wheels feature the iconic Minilite design, while the tires are shod with wide 215/55s. The front and rear side air intake grilles are chrome-plated. All present and in perfect original condition. Inside, the superb quality grenadine-red leather creates a very English ambience. The door rings, gearshift gaiters and grenadine-red leather-wrapped steering wheel are all in perfect condition. Also of note are the wood inserts on the console and the numbered plaque between the seats. Our example features its original soft top in good condition and comes with its original accessories: rear luggage rack, windshield and soft top cover. The car's backrest displays an MG on-board pocket including Rover's stamped service booklet, driver's manual and Rover Assistance manuals. Note that the current owners have had a functional Mobitronic reversing radar and Waeco alarm installed at the dealership, as well as an Alpine radio with retractable screen - the best of 2002! All maintenance invoices are also included. At 36,875 km, the timing gear and water pump have been changed, as have the clutch transmitter and receiver, battery and brake fluid. In December 2025, the oil and filters were changed, and the Hydragas suspension system re-trimmed. The car has always slept in a closed box, the underside is corrosion-free and the condition inside and out is simply perfect, a testament to the love of its owner.
