This Porsche 930 Turbo comes from the estate of Vittorio Perrotta. According to the estate's sales catalog, this car arrived in France from the USA in the late 1980s. At the time, it was maintained by Moutiers in Montpellier.
Mr. Perrotta acquired it in 1996 (it had 33,000 miles on the odometer at the time), and stopped using it 5 years later after having covered some 5,000 miles with it. It was stored for 18 years, until 2021, when its current owner acquired it.
The car is in beautiful original condition, but the 18 years of downtime will require some 35,000 euros of work (all invoices are available) to restore it to its former glory, not to mention a complete repaint, in its original color of course!
For greater clarity, the current owner will have the mileage counter converted to kilometers by Porsche Classic. Today's mileage is 72,500 km, in perfect harmony with the original interior, which has never been restored.
Its current owner is only the 3rd hand since it arrived on French soil.
This is a great opportunity to acquire the turbo myth, with low mileage and extensive work already carried out on the car.
A true icon, the Porsche 930 Turbo represents an entire era, with a record 12 years in the Stuttgart company's catalog. Introduced in 1975 with a 3.0-liter engine, the 930 Turbo was quickly upgraded to 3.3 liters and 300 horsepower in response to public demand. Thanks to this displacement, boosted by a larger KKK turbo and a new air/air intercooler, the 930 entered the closed circle of supercars with exceptional performance. It even earned the title of "production car with the best acceleration in the world", capable of swallowing 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds and maintaining its momentum until the speedometer needle reached 260. All this earned it a reputation as a sultry, virile car, a real widowmaker at the time. Driving it requires a certain amount of attention, as the ON/OFF effect of the Turbo is still present.
