GIDE, André. The Narrow Gate. Paris, Henri Cyral, Collection française, 1925. Square 8vo, (4) folios including a frontispiece, 215 pp., (4) folios including 3 blank pages. Half pine-green morocco with period corners, gilt title and date, ribbed spine, gilt head, flaps and spine preserved (spine slightly tarnished, very slight wear on 2 ribs). A very fine, well-bound edition with color illustrations by Daniel-Girard. Printed in a run of 1,021 numbered copies; this one is “Hors Commerce” on Rives vellum. Includes a large publisher’s endpaper. A beautiful copy.
