The Book Without a Name. Divided into five dialogues.
Paris: Michel Brunet, Mercure Galant, 1695.

A collection of gossip and anecdotes from the world of French theater and “la vie galante” in Toulouse, Avignon, and Montpellier, as well as in Italy and Spain.
The privilege indicates that it was granted to Michel Brunet (a bookseller in Paris), who shared it with Hilaire Baritel (of Lyon), who in turn shared it with “Sieur Plaignard and the aforementioned Sieur Baudet [sic].” All editions from 1695 are rare.
Printed in Paris by Michel Brunet, there were also co-editions or shared distributions in the provinces (such as in Lyon by Antoine Boudet or Hilaire Baritel).
An ink annotation from the period
“A new volume is currently being sold, titled *Le Livre sans nom*, in much the same style as *Arliquiniana*, and it seems to be enjoying even greater success, not only because of the short stories it contains, but also because it is filled with a large number of verses, and above all with several odes translated from or imitating Horace, which one reads with pleasure”
