French piece, circa 1900 750‰ yellow gold pocket watch, round case (30 mm), white enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals, and a railway-track minute scale, mechanical hand-wound movement, 750‰ yellow gold mainplate, the back chased with a design of a swallow and a sprig of lily of the valley, enhanced with translucent enamel. Numbered “6138.” Rhomboidal workshop hallmark. Horse-head hallmark, Departments, 1838–1919. Gross weight: 24 g. (Minor chips in the enamel; no guarantee of functionality; servicing recommended).
