Japan, 19th century A large porcelain set with Imari-style enameled decoration featuring cranes, a phoenix, and birds among plum blossoms and chrysanthemums in a cut-out panel against a background of foliage and lotus flowers. The set includes a covered baluster-shaped vase, a handle shaped like a fô dog playing on a rock, and a pair of cornet vases with, inside the neck, two dragons searching for the sacred pearl. Height: 63 cm and 41.5 cm Restoration to the lid.
