In-8 oblong (17 x 22 cm), (1) engraved title, 57 plates (10 x 13.4 cm at the bowl). Nineteenth-century red imitation chagrin percale, smooth spine, gilt title, two gilt scrolls framing the boards (freckles, hole on the illustration of "Anfiteatro Castrense"). Fully engraved album, consisting of a title page of 57 black prints of the principal views of ancient and modern Rome, with the ruins of war drawn from life in 1849 and engraved on copper by Pierre Datri.
