Publisher's green half-percaline, illustrated boards (binding restored to edges of boards and spine, some scattered traces of wetness and foxing, boards a little rubbed, 2 marginal tears). One of the most remarkable and rare books on bullfighting, in its publisher's illustrated boards. Second edition, "considero esta obra como una de las mas importantes entre las consagradas al arte de torear" (Millan). The lithographs, in black on a prepared ground, comprise a frontispiece and 39 plates: 20 portraits of bullfighters by Théodoro Aramburu and 20 suertes de lidia from drawings by José Chavez, who was inspired by Goya's Tauromaquia for some of the suertes (Von Loga, Francisco de Goya, Leipzig, 1910).
