In-4, (3) ff, 63 pp, frontispiece and plates. Publisher's beige, pink-striped boards, ornate smooth spine, gilt title, double gilt fillet framing upper board, with title in center gilt medallion, gilt medallion on lower board, gilt edges (tear at head of spine, corners and headpieces rubbed, light stains on lower board; text paper a little yellowed, light wetness at corner of frontispiece, and in margins of some plates). First edition and first print run - notable for the plate captioned "Bunbridge Ferry", for Bembridge Ferry. A fine romantic album dedicated to the Isle of Wight. The frontispiece is lithographed in bistre by E. Walker, an engraved and colored map and 20 very fine plates faithfully engraved in aquatint by Percy Roberts and finely hand-colored at the time, after drawings and paintings by the landscape and marine painter Frederick Calvert (c.1785-c.1845).
