Rare true original. No copy in the CCFr for this Du Fossé edition of 1613. Important and uncommon 17th-century publication on the "known world" of the time, covering the Turks in Europe, Asia, barbarian kingdoms, America and Spanish possessions, as well as information on the Incas or Aztecs, religious or military orders... Provenance: scarcely legible arms (3 alerions perhaps) of the period; handwritten bookplate on the flyleaf "Carolo-Nicoläo [name scratched out] amicis, 1738".
