Pair of circular tortoiseshell MEDALONS depicting, respectively, King Henri IV (1553-1610) in bust, in slight relief, adorned with armor, laurelled, and wearing the Order of the Holy Spirit in saltire, and Constable Anne de Montmorency (1493-1567) also in armor. They are preserved in circular frames. French work from the 19th century. Overall diameter: 12.5 cm (chips and small missing parts).
