DEVILLAINE DEVISIX - Circa 1930 - Lot 295
DEVILLAINE DEVISIX - Circa 1930 Pedal car model RENAULT DEVISIX Metal chassis, and Bordino-like body in pale green wood with red fillets. No registration document. Strictly original condition, very fine patina despite its used condition. Length : 145 cm - Height : 54 cm Notes At the end of the 1920s, Établissements Devillaine et Frères (EDEF) inaugurated the Devisix name, associating the beginning of their family name with the number 6. The brand was probably trying to evoke the imposing 40hp six-cylinder of the diamond-shaped firm - with its new logo appearing in 1925 - but also to take up the commercial name of the most popular Renault NN, known as "6hp". These handsome toys were distributed by Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville, Printemps and Etablissements Mestre et Blatgé, the world's leading supplier of automobiles and velocipedes.
