Particularly in motorsports, with models such as the Carrera, Monaco and Autavia. This watch is the fruit of a collaboration between this famous Swiss company and the French firm Monnin. In 1950, Heuer decided to concentrate on the manufacture of chronograph watches. Heuer became the leader in precision timekeeping. Since 1946, Monin had been producing equipment for the watchmaking and micro-technology industries. Together, they designed the 1614 chronograph. This model corresponded to an entry-level model aimed at a younger, more modest public, with a more modern and daring style. This collaboration also gave rise to the Heuer 844 diver.
