Since the 1920s, Atelier PERY & Fils has been a key manufacturer for Van Cleef & Arpels, from the "Zip" model to the "Passe-partout", the "Pelouse" and the "Ludo". Among his creations, the animal collections are particularly noteworthy, taking the form of multiple clip brooches with lapels (cats, dogs, rams, squirrels and birds). Created in 1962, the "Lion ébouriffé" belongs to these emblematic models produced for the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels and "La Boutique", demonstrating the humor imbued in these jewelry pieces for everyday wear.
