Toggle clasp concealed in a link, eight safety. Signed "Pomellato" and the House symbol on welded rectangular plates. Italian work, hallmarked 1944-1968 (Atelier 469 MI). Length: 21cm. Mesh width: 2cm. P. Gross weight : 132 g. (Slight chips and oxidation, one jade cabochon replaced by an emerald cabochon). POMELLATO follows in the tradition of the great Italian chain makers. Founded in 1967, POMELLATO has sought to reinterpret this heritage, notably through the use of gourmette stitch, which has become one of its emblematic signatures. Designed for everyday wear, its creations are distinguished by their great fluidity, offering supple movement and comfort adapted to everyday life. This quality is underpinned by the House's commitment to excellence in craftsmanship, working with traditional Milanese workshops to perpetuate their exacting know-how. POMELLATO jewels are also characterized by the importance given to color and volume, in a joyful and free spirit, heir to the Italian Dolce Vita. This identity is reflected in the bold use of gemstones: the House employs decorative stones such as turquoise and jade, which at the time were still little appreciated by traditional jewellers. With this contemporary and innovative aesthetic, POMELLATO quickly met with success, accompanying the changing lifestyles of Milanese society in the 1960s and 1970s.
