In small folio format (25 x 36 cm), mounted on cardboard and mounted in a marie-louise with gilt paper bias (45 x 55 cm). Stamped title and text at the bottom of the frame. (Silk slightly wavy on the left side, marie-louise a little oxidized and edges sometimes rubbed, but a fine copy). A very rare Orientalist photograph on silk. From the very small number of deluxe prints produced for the only German edition, on paper, of Aegypten, Heliogravuren nach Original-Aufnahmen mit Vorwort und erläuterndem Text von Georg Ebers, herausgegeben von Max Junghaendel, published by Cosmos in 1894.
