Black xylographed view (33 x 48.5 cm), (marginal stains, small tears without missing, central fold repaired on verso). Bird's-eye view of Cairo, Egypt, showing the Nile, the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza. Text on the map in French. In lower left corner: "Cette ville se doit / mettre au second / tome, aps le feuil. 1999". This view is taken from Braun & Hogenberg's Civitates Orbis Terrarum, the most important collection of city views of the XVIᵉ century.
