[Georgia] COSTUMES. MILITARIA. [Georgian man-at-arms]. (second half of the eighteenth century). In sheet format in-12. 1 gouache figure, captioned in brown ink in German, on watermarked laid paper (some foxing and stains) depicting a Georgianer. Model or study for a series of engravings produced in Europe in the 18th century. Some of these drawings appeared in Unterweisung in den vornehmsten Kunsten und Wissenschaften zum Nutzen des Schulen... by J. Ch. Adelung in 1785. The features are elegant and the colors vivid. Picturesque.
