French registration document
This original French G60 was registered on February 13, 1991 and carries the code 19PG22, specific to GTI G60s. It features a beautiful Tornado Red configuration, in very good condition, with matching red-striped fabric interior (code XU). It now has 132,200 km on the clock. Her logbook shows her previous registrations. Originally from Valencia, it was originally registered 620 SY 26. In 1994, a second owner in Isère took possession of it and adopted the registration 737 AFS 38, whose engraving can be seen on the windows.
Our collector bought the car in April 2022. He's no stranger to Golfs, having owned a dozen of them, and fell in love with the configuration of this one. A G60, 3-door and red, it was top of the range at the time! G60 Golf GTIs in good condition and with low mileage are hard to find. They have suffered from tuning and dubious preparations, leading to mechanical problems. At the time, this model had only 130,000 km. As a precaution, he decided to have the mechanics rebuilt by a specialist in the model. Top and bottom engines were rebuilt to the highest standards. The specific compressor was also refurbished and optimized, with more precise deburring than original, further improving performance while remaining in a discreet original configuration. Exhaust, intake and intercooler are identical to the original.
The option label is clearly visible in the lining of the rear crossbar. The on-board pocket includes the owner's manual, the vintage alarm manual, the certificate of registration made in September 1994 and the invoice for the engine rebuild.
In the photos, the model features 15-inch BBS wheels, a period accessory often chosen, as well as a rare BBS four-spoke sports steering wheel. The car has since been returned to its 100% original configuration, with the original Sebring wheels, also 15", and the factory leather steering wheel still in place.
