Work of the 1950s - Lot 124
Work of the 1950s "Bouquet de fleurs" transformation cuff bracelet in yellow gold 750‰ with triple Tubogas mesh centered with a large removable lapel clip brooch in yellow gold 750‰, the petals and pistils formed of faceted and cushion-cut round sapphires, yellow sapphires and rubies set in claw-set. Total weight of sapphires: approx. 15 carats. Total weight of yellow sapphires: approx. 10 carats. Bracelet - Ratchet clasp. Length: 18.5cm. Mesh width: 2.7cm. Brooch - Pins in yellow gold 750‰. Dimensions: 6.7x5.8cm. P. Total gross: 113g. (Scratches, slight restorations to the back of the brooch, one citrine and one fine yellow stone reported). This important transformation cuff bracelet is reminiscent of the "Passe-partout" models created by Van Cleef & Arpels in the late 1930s, both for their floral motifs and their use of Ceylon sapphires and yellow sapphires. This designation is used by the House to evoke the versatility of wear permitted by this model.
