Work of the 1920s-1930s - Lot 79
Work of the 1920s-1930s Exempt 800‰ silver cuff bracelet composed of concave rectangular and square cutaway articulated links lacquered black and inlaid with eggshells drawing geometric motifs. Ratchet clasp. Length: 20.5cm. Width: 3.5cm. Gross weight: 56.7g. (Minor damage to the lacquer). During the Art Deco period, lacquer was very much in vogue, particularly when inlaid with eggshells, to bring shades of white to a precious jewel or accessory. Many Art Deco designers used it, including Jean Dunand, Paul Brandt and Gérard Sandoz.
