The book presents the history of the Albanians of the Caucasus, from their origins to the 15th century. The Albanians of the Caucasus were a group of twenty-six tribes Christianized in the 4th century. From the 5th century onwards, they had their own alphabet of 52 graphemes, and translated the Bible and various liturgical texts from Jerusalem into their own alphabet. From the 10th century onwards, they began to lose their language and literature, mainly as a result of Turkish invasions. Today, all that remains is a community of around 5,000 people who have not been assimilated by the Azeri Turks and who continue to speak the language inherited from the ancient Albanian of the Caucasus: Udin.
