Gustav Radde founded the Caucasus Museum in Tiflis in 1867. He also founded the Tiflis Public Library. Here he describes the collections of the museum he directed. The series was intended to contain 6 volumes, but volume IV on ethnography was never published. Volume VI is missing here. This is a biographical volume in two parts: the first with the author's unfinished autobiography; the second part contains Rooster's biography of Radde.
