In-8 (22.7 x 17 cm), bilingual text in Georgian and Italian of [8]-124-[46] pp. Bound in ivory parchment, seven-ribbed spine, handwritten title in brown ink underlined by a design, edges speckled with red. (Slight soiling to spine, work complete but leaves of all quires bound out of order; handwritten list of correctly reassembled quires included, freckles and stains). This dictionary is not only the first dictionary printed in Georgian-Italian, but is also considered the very first book printed in Georgian (see Catalogue of Georgian Prints : ქართული წიგნი, ბიბლიოგრაფია, ტომი პირველი. Das Georgische Buch, Vollständige Bibliographie. I Band. 1629-1920, Tbilissi, 1941, no. 1, pp. 1-2). The text comprises three columns: the Georgian word, its phonetic transcription in Italian, and its Italian translation. The second part of the volume is an index of Italian words. Extremely rare book.
