Boxwood communion spoon carved with religious scenes. On one side, the handle depicts the crucifixion of Jesus, the spoon engraved with "INRI" and decorated with four angels, each holding an instrument of the Passion. On the other side, the handle is decorated with two figures, head to foot, surmounted by two naked children, each holding a cup. The spoon represents the Last Judgment: at the top, Christ in majesty flanked by two angels playing the trumpet; at the bottom, heaven on one side, hell on the other. With the inscription "Jesu Hilf zur selben zeit von wegen/ deiner wunden". Germany, second half of the 17th century. Length: 21.7 cm Spoon restored.
