Two "Combat de coqs" brooches in 750‰ chased yellow and white gold, the gallinaceous bodies stylized by a white baroque cultured pearl, their heads, wings and sickles set with 8/8-cut diamonds and faceted round sapphires, emeralds and rubies. Pins in yellow gold 750‰.
Italian hallmarks, Period 1944-1968.
Dimensions: 5.1x4.4cm.
P. Gross: 45.5g.
(Slight chips).
A symbol of the Capri-based company founded in 1947, the rooster is a Chantecler trademark. This model, in chased gold, baroque cultured pearl, diamonds and gemstones, is typical of Chantecler's 1960s production. Our two brooches form a very special ensemble - stylizing a fight - and are rarely presented at auction in France.
