The combination of gold and blackened steel is characteristic of Boucheron's production from the 1870s-1880s to the 1900s, appearing on jewelry as well as timepieces. The emblematic model of this style is the famous "Régence" necklace in the Maison Boucheron collection, richly decorated with foliage scrolls and mascarons.
