[Georgia]. BROSSET (Marie-Félicité). L'Art libéral, ou Grammaire géorgienne. Paris, Impr. lithographique de Roissy, 1834. In-8, XI pp. (title, dedication, preface), [2] ff. (table), 290 [i.e. 286] pp., [1] f., 1 plate. Unbound (boards of boards remain, uncovered; first f. faded, gaps in title without loss of text, soiling, one frontispiece probably missing). Rare first edition and only early edition of this entirely autographed work, dedicated to Baron Silvestre de Sacy. It is illustrated with a plate entitled "Khoutzouri Alphabet drawn by Prince Théimouraz". An "explanation of the frontispiece" appears after the table, but this copy has no frontispiece (nor does the digitized copy held by the University of Bonn). However, it does contain an additional plate: "Alphabet Mkédrouli dessiné par le prince Théimouraz", annotated in pencil. Page breaks from 192 to 197 with no apparent gaps, signature of signatures continuous. Provenance: Bibliothek Goldschmidt-Hübschmann (ex-dono label).
