[Armenia]. Կեսներ Սողոմոն [GESSNER (Salomon)]. Քերթուած ի մահն Աբելի [La Mort d'Abel]. Venice, Imprimerie Sainte-Lazare, 1835. In-12, 15-272 p., full contemporary marbled tan basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt roulette and fleuron, brown title-piece, gilt roulette framing the boards, gilt edges (small rubbing on the binding, a few signatures out of order, slight freckling, title-page partly torn off with a small lack at the lower left corner). Armenian translation by Emmanuele Ciakciak (1770-1835) of The Death of Abel by Salomon Gessner (1730-1788). This Armenian edition faithfully transcribes Gessner's pastoral and lyrical work, influenced by 18th-century sentimentalism.
