[Armenia]. Աւգերեան, Մկրտիչ [AUCHER (Jean-Baptiste)]. Նոր բառգիրք հայկազեան լեզուի [Nouveau dictionnaire de la langue arménienne en 2 vol.]. Venice, Imprimerie Sainte-Lazare, 1836-1837. 2 volumes in-4, 20-1140 p. + 1067 p., posterior fawn half-basin with corners, spine with 4 nerves, decorated caissons, havana title and red tomaison (epidermures, craquelures on the spine, blunted corners, unruly quires, slight foxing). Dictionary of the Armenian language, written by Gabriel Avetikian (1811-1868), Surmelyan Khatchatour (1819-1888) and Jean-Baptiste Aucher (1762-1854). The work was initiated by Aucher with contributions from the other authors. This work is considered one of the most comprehensive and voluminous Armenian dictionaries still in use today.
