Vienne, Imp. Des P. P. Mechitaristes, 1926. Large in-8, contemporary blue half-percaline. Annotated edition edited by K. J. Basmadjian. Annotated edition of a classic 15th-century Armenian medical text by the famous physician Amirdovlat of Amasée, presented here in a critical version with numerous handwritten marginal notes in Armenian and French. The work lists and describes a vast selection of medicinal substances from the Armenian scholarly tradition, from both a philological and therapeutic perspective. Provenance: handwritten inscription in ink on the faux-title, "to my friend Յովհաննէս Գյուլ...եան" (partially illegible), signed by the publisher in Constantinople, 1931.
