[Armenia]. Մեծարենց, (Միսաք) [Medzarents, (Misak)]. Նոր տաղեր [Chants nouveaux], Constantinople, Imprimerie V. et H. Nerséssean, 1907. In-8, 62 p. - [1 p.], paperback, (binding a little worn). Rare first edition of Chants nouveaux, a poetic collection by Misak Medzarents (Միսաք Մեծարենց, 1886-1908), one of the most sensitive representatives of Western Armenian symbolism. Published in 1907, the same year as his other major collection, Ծիածան (The Rainbow), Chants nouveaux is one of the earliest impressions of the author's works made during his lifetime. In 1924, the two collections were reissued together in a single volume, now more common. On the other hand, this separate 1907 edition remains extremely rare, with very few copies having survived. Constantinople bookseller's stamp: H. Kilidjian.
