In-folio, 61-[13] pp. in sheets with publisher's cover, pink cardboard folder and slipcase, title throughout. Fine edition illustrated with 10 full-page watercolors by Marie Laurencin (1883-1956), engraved in color by Louis Maccard. These etchings are in their definitive state in color for copies on Arches. Maccard, who also worked for Hans Bellmer, did not specialize in "free" or "very free" works. The delicacy of Laurencin's work is a magnificent contrast to the book. A rare item. Limited edition of 190 copies. One of 130 numbered copies on Arches, this one no. 65, accompanied by a black suite of etchings on large Arches.
