Exceptional copy of Foujita's highly sought-after work, with 2 ink drawings signed by the artist and 3 etchings. Published on the occasion of Foujita's 65th birthday, this work, dedicated to Paris and the Seine, is a beautiful and sensitive work considered to be his most important. considered his finest work. In-folio, in sheets, in a rag paper folder with a black engraving on the upper cover. a black engraving, in a grey velvet ribbon-covered card folder, all in the publisher's yellow velvet interior, with reproduction of the artist's autograph stamped on the front cover. [4] pp. including masthead, justification, title in gray and black, 110 pp. and [5] pp. including table. Limited edition of 315 numbered copies. One of 200 copies on Grand Vélin d'Arches (n°118), illustrated with 26 etchings by the artist, including 15 in color, under serpents. serpents, and not 11 as indicated in the table. Complete with 2 black portraits: Héron de Villefosse's portrait and Foujita's self-portrait, dedicated to Foujita, dedicated to Kimyo, his wife (dedication engraved in the portrait). Two beautiful black watercolors in gray ink. In a vellum folder, the original works and added etchings, i.e. : -Two black ink drawings by Foujita: two beautiful female faces in wash, signed in pencil by the artist with "Hommage de l'artiste". Accompanied by two typescript letters signed by Paris bookseller Robert Léger, addressed to "Madame Maurin", justifying the origin of the drawings (dated 1957). and : -A colorized print, on Japon nacré, of plate XVII, Rêve de parfum. -One black plate on chine with "Hommage de l'artiste Foujita". -One color print on vellum (duplicate of plate XVIII, Place Vendôme). Discreet fading of some etchings, light marginal spotting throughout on a few ff. discrete oxidation of the paper in places. Anecdotal defects (small scratches) to the covers and slipcase.
