[Manuscript]. Գիրք Հաքիմար[ա]ն և պիտանի ամ[են] ցաւի օգտէ ավ [A book of wisdom/medicine that should help relieve every pain]. Etchmiadzine January 25, 1787. 135 f. (including 4 f. of parchment), contemporary Armenian binding, havana basane on wooden aisle, smooth spine, chased and gilt edges (binding worn, rubbed, headpieces torn off, stains and soiling to boards, hinges split, quires out of order). Manuscript written by Mirzakhan, probably a monk living in Etchmiadzin, according to the colophon on the last page. The manuscript was sent to Moscow for publication. Note that a word in the colophon, written in red ink (a sign of sanctity in the Armenian manuscript tradition), was subsequently erased. The work has no separate title page. The first page features a beautiful illustration. On the first page, above the title, there is an altar band with floral ornamentation in green, blue and red. The same motif is repeated above the illustration on the title page. The first letters and titles are written in red, in keeping with Armenian manuscript tradition. An "N" initials represents Saint John. Several handwritten notes, added by other people, are visible on some pages.
