[Manuscript]. [Collection of three theological treatises]. 1779. In-4 (ca. 23 x 18 cm.), 65 f., contemporary Armenian binding in full brown basane, 5-rib spine, ornate coffered boards, framed with central fleuron with religious subject on the boards, gilt roulette on the edges, gilt edges (missing headpieces and one corner, split jaws, through worm galleries, some stains and soiling). Manuscript containing three texts on spiritual theology, most probably intended for personal or liturgical use: Սկիզբն Սրբուհւոյ ԸնդCommunion [Commencement of Holy Communion] - a liturgical or catechetical text on spiritual preparation for communion, including prayers, mystical reflections and instructions. Աղոթք Զղջողական [Prayer of Repentance] - a penitential prayer, focusing on confession of faults, asking for mercy and purification of the soul, typical of the Armenian ascetic tradition. Զատկացուցում ընդ Աստուած մեր բարոգ [Explanation of the Paschal Mystery in God our Benefactor]. This text is a liturgical treatise on Easter rites and ceremonies, accompanied by biblical references noted in Arabic letters. It offers a structured view of Armenian Easter practices, testifying to a multicultural context, probably in an Islamicized region, and a desire to preserve tradition while adapting to its linguistic environment.
