Խոսրով Անձեւացի [KHOSROV ANTSEVATSI]. Մեկնութիւն աղօթից [Explanation of the Prayer]. [Constantinople?, Imprimerie Astvatsatur?, between 1730 and 1736?]. In-8, 451-[5] p., contemporary Armenian binding in full cold-stamped havana basane, spine with 3 nerves (boards and spine ends rubbed, headpieces torn off, spine cracks, rubbing to spine ends, cuts and boards, corners dull, paper on back covers detached, a few pagination errors, a few very slight soiling and russetting). Explanation of the prayer by Խոսրով Անձևացի (902 - 964), Armenian ecclesiastical figure and scribe, trainer of Aram the scribe and father of Grigor Narekatsi. This work features a woodcut plate, probably by Grigor Marzvanetsi (1662-1730), Armenian printer, typographer and founder of the art of engraving in Armenian printed books in the 17th and 18th centuries. The work bears no explicit indication of date or place of publication. Based on the work of G. Zarbhanalyan and A. Ghazikyan, its printing is estimated to have taken place between 1730 and 1736, probably in Constantinople, at the Astvatsatur printing house. The two-column text is highlighted by an elegant border.
