Mystical work by Gregory of Narek (951-1003), Armenian monk of the Narek monastery, also known as the Book of Lamentations (Մատեան Ողբերգութեան). Comprising 95 prayers in poetic prose, this spiritual meditation addresses suffering, repentance and the quest for divine union, and occupies a central place in Armenian literary and religious tradition.
