Short biography of Grigor Aghaton, written by Nazareth Daghavarian (1862-1915), physician, intellectual and political figure. Grigor Aghaton (1823-1868) was an Armenian intellectual in the Ottoman Empire. He was one of the first Christians appointed minister in the Empire. This edition includes a family tree and portrait of Grigor Aghaton. Provenance: Given by the author to Մաղաքիա Օրմանեան [Malachia Ormanian] (1841-1918), Armenian patriarch of Constantinople from 1896 to 1908, also a theologian, historian and philologist (handwritten note on verso of title).
