Two works bound in one: the first is an essay on the Armenian language by Bellaud, doctor of medicine, in collaboration with Jacques Chahan de Cirbied, Armenian writer and linguist. The second deals with the historical details of the first Christian expedition to Palestine under Emperor Zimiscès, by Mathieu d'Édesse, with information collected and translated into French from Armenian manuscripts by Chahan de Cirbied and P. Martin.
