Venice, Imprimerie Sainte-Lazare, 1836-1837. 2 vols. in-4, 20-1140 p. + 1067 p., contemporary havana basane, smooth spine, green title and tomaison, gilt fleuron and roulette, boards framed with gilt roulette, gilt edges (craquelure to spine, boards and bindings, boards and edges rubbed, upper headband torn, corners dull). New dictionary of the Armenian language initiated by Jean-Baptiste Aucher (1762-1854), with contributions from Gabriel Avetikian (1811-1868) and Surmelyan Khatchatour (1819-1888). This work is considered one of the most comprehensive and voluminous Armenian dictionaries still in use today.
