Առաքել Սիւնեցի [ARAKEL SUNETSI]. Ադամգիրք։ Չափածո [Book of Adam - in verse]. Constantinople, Imprimerie de Martiros le Scribe, 1799. In-8, 276 p., Armenian binding, full contemporary fawn basane, spine with 3 nerves, cold decoration on the boxes and boards (epidermures, dull corners, rubbed edges and headbands, small marginal wormholes towards the end of the book). Rare religious poem attributed to the medieval Armenian author Arakel Sunetsi. The work recounts the fall of Adam and Eve, their repentance and their relationship with God, drawing on biblical and apocryphal accounts. It is often considered an Eastern version of Milton's Paradise Lost, for its epic scope, theological purpose and literary dimension in the Eastern Christian tradition.
