ԱՂԱՅԱՆ (Ղազարոս) [AGHAYAN (Ghazaros)]. Հայ Գրողներ. Հատոր Բ [Armenian Writers Volume B]. Tbilissi, Imprimerie Kultura [culturelle], 1910. Composed by Ghazaros Aghayan, Hovhannes Toumanian and Vahram Papazian, this book is a chrostomathy of Armenian literature. Despite the criticism received by the first volume, its aim remains to showcase authors with a mastery of Armenian, whether Eastern or Western. The second volume, dedicated to authors from Western Armenia, presents members of the Vernatun literary circle, founded in Tbilisi in 1899 by Toumanian, bringing together the literary elite of the time. Keledjian Cons/ple] (wet stamp on false title) Hovhannès Keledjian, active in the rescue operations for Armenian deportees during the First World War, played a key role in a campaign led by AGBU. With the support of Emir Faisal and led by Levon Yotneghperian, a group of 60 men formed by Keledjian rounded up some 2,000 deportees, mainly abducted women and children, scattered across the Jabal al-Druze and around Damascus. These deportees were transferred to British-controlled areas, including Dera'a and Damascus, in the summer and autumn of 1918.
