Map by Emanuel Bowen illustrating the Americas with precision, yet leaving the vast, empty unexplored area west of North America. It features a decorative title cartouche and compass rose. This map is one of seven published in A Complete System of Geography. Being a Description of All the Countries, Islands, Cities, Chief Towns..., published in London in 1747 for Innys, Ware, Ward, Knapton, Clarke, Osborne and others. Old handwritten "America" on spine.
