[Asia Minor]. BOWEN (Emanuel). A new and accurate map of Anatolia or Asia Minor with Syria and other provinces of the Turkish Empire... [London, 1747]. 1 copper-engraved map (37.4 x 46 cm.).
A fine copy of this map of Anatolia, bounded by the Black Sea to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. To the east, it extends to part of Persia and Iraq, and to part of European Turkey to the west.
This map is one of seven published in A Complete System of Geography. Being a Description of All the Countries, Islands, Cities, Chief Towns..., published in London in 1747 for Innys, Ware, Ward, Knapton, Clarke, Osborne and others.
