[Europe, East]. BOWEN (Emanuel). A new and accurate map of Poland, Lithuania &c... [London, 1747]. 1 copper-engraved map (41 x 53 cm.), hand-colored (marginal crack restored). Map illustrating the eastern part of the European continent, bounded by Germany, Russia, European Turkey and the Baltic Sea. It features a handsome illustrated title cartouche and a compass rose. This map is one of seven published in A Complete System of Geography. Being a Description of All the Countries, Islands, Cities, Chief Towns..., published in London in 1747 for Innys, Ware, Ward, Knapton, Clarke, Osborne and others. Early handwritten note on verso "Poland & Lithuania".
