[Messina]. [Manuscript]. Plano de la plaza de Mesina y de su - Lot 98
[Messina]. [Manuscript]. Plano de la plaza de Mesina y de su ciudadel y castiglios. A manuscript plan, approx. 82 x 102 cm, ink and watercolor on paper, 18th century (some rubbing, small edge tears repaired on v°). Very fine decorative document. It shows the walled city and its surroundings; in the lower right, in the title cartouche, is a list of some forty places and buildings depicted on the plan. Mounted on modern paper with the addition of a blue paper border. In the center of the plan, a section is missing, covering the entire width by approx. 10 cm, skilfully restored. The plan is signed lower center in the scale cartouche: "Simone Palzeran" (?).
