[Italy]. [Jewelry]. MENDEL (Giacomo). Descrizione dei due magnifici quadri interamente eseguiti in brillanti [...] Beschreibung zweier prachtvollen, ganz aus Brillanten. Milano, [1838]. One folio volume. Hardcover covered in gray moire, boards with gilt decoration embossed with the arms of Ferdinand I (plates VII and VIII unbound). It consists of a title page, 4 pages of text and 10 lithographs outside the text, each accompanied by an explanatory leaflet; text on two columns, in Italian and German, in an elegant frame. Jewels made for the coronation of Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria as King of Lombardy-Venetia, which took place in Milan in September 1838. Another copy can be found in the Library of Congress in the United States.
