[Provence]. SANSON (Nicolas). Comté, et gouvernement de Provence, avecq les pays circonvoisins... Paris, Sanson, 1652. One copper-engraved map, approx. 32 x 46 cm, colored borders and cartouche (small stains, repair in margin, small cracks in central fold in margin).
Map engraved by R. Cordier, adorned with a title cartouche below which are the scales. It covers the coast from the Camargue to Bordighera, and extends northwards to Montélimar, Gap and the Marquisate of Saluces, thus including the Comtat Venaissin, the Principality of Orange and the County of Nice.
Early handwritten notes at v° list the departments in the region represented.
