(case worn). Beautiful decorative map, whose topographical representation was the most accomplished of its time, since it is based on precise field surveys carried out at the request of the States of Burgundy, according to the principles established by the Cassinis. It was drawn up by Seguin, the king's engineer; the frame and cartouche ornaments were engraved according to drawings by Galey, the king's building inspector, and the lettering was engraved by Bourgoin.
